The graph below is the current distribution (until May 2011) for the Android platform versions:
If we look at the graph above, the most current version is the Android 2.2. Google has just announced the latest version of Android 3.1 (honeycomb) on the Google I/O last week. This new version will be available on some devices in June. This issue has been addressed by Google on the conference, how the current users can easily updates their devices to the latest version as soon as possible after the new version available.
