Samsung Galaxy Tab Upgrade to Android 2.3 Honeycomb

Samsung has released Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS software update for the SPH-P100 Samsung Galaxy Tab. It upgrades the Galaxy Tab from Android 2.2 (Froyo) to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and includes software improvements. If your current software version is EB28, you will receive a network notification for the EF17 software update. The update process will be performed OTA (Over The Air). It may take several minutes to complete.

•     Bluetooth HID support
•     Power Management enhancements in Gingerbread

Follow the steps below to update your Samsung Galaxy Tab:

1. Press the Home button, and then Menu button.
2. Touch Settings > About My Galaxy Tab™  > System Updates.
3. Choose either Update Android or Update Firmware.
4. Your Samsung Galaxy Tab will automatically download and install any available updates. You may need to power it off and back on to complete the software update.
