Share Internet Connection using Wireless Tethering (Wi-Fi Hotspot) on Dell Streak

Android release after version 2.2 has ability for Wireless Tethering or share internet connection using Wireless Tethering. Dell Streak 5" and 7" released with Android 2.2 that have this capability.

 

Follow these steps to enable the Wireless Tethering feature on Dell Streak:

1. Tap on the center button to display the menu. You should see the Settings button.
2. Tap the Settings button to display your device settings.
3. Tap on the Wireless & networks.
4. Tap on the Tethering & portable hotspot. This will enable to share your phone's mobile data connection via USB or as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
5. Tap on the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot. Wait while the hotspot is turning on. The portable hotspot will be activated.
6.  You can set and manage the portable Wi-Fi hotspot by tapping the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings and then tap the Configure Wi-Fi hotspot. Set the Network SSID name and Security for the new hotspot.
