PostRank has been acquired by Google

PostRank, an analytics service for the social web, has been acquired by Google. PostRank delivers objective, real-time data and analysis on any topic, trend, or interest relevant to the business.

The social web connects people where they share, critique and interact with content and each other. PostRank is the largest aggregator of social engagement data in the industry.

Their platform tracks where and how users engage, and what they pay attention to — in real-time. PostRank social engagement data measures actual user activity, the most accurate indicator of the relevance and influence of a site, story, or author.

The acquisition will add Google ability to research more powerful algorithm to its search engine and the analytics service.

You can find the announcement about this acquisition on the PostRank website:

We are excited to announce that PostRank has been acquired by Google!

We know that making sense of social engagement data is crucial for online businesses, which is why we’ve worked hard to monitor where and when content generates meaningful interactions across the web. Indeed, conversations online are an important signal for advertisers, publishers, developers and consumers — but today’s tools only skim the surface of what we think is possible.

We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished, and we now look forward to working with Google’s team to build more useful tools for measuring engagement online, and we’ll be sure to share details on our progress in the coming months. In the meantime, if you’re interested to learn more about PostRank’s products and services, we encourage you to click here and fill out the form.

Thanks!

The PostRank Team
