Dell Streak 10 inch with Android 3.1 (Honeycomb)

Dell, a leading US computer manufacturer, finally builds Dell Streak 10 inch tablet. The company has previously released Dell Streak 5 inch tablet in the mid of 2010 and Dell Streak 7 inch in early 2011. Both of the tablets is powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo). Dell is still working on the update release for Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) for these tablets while the individual release version 2.3.3 (from StreakDroid) has already published on the Internet.



The new Dell Streak 10 inch tablet will be powered with Android 3.1 (Honeycomb). Dell has confirmed that this kind of tablet will be first released in the emerging countries such as China that present tremendous growth and opportunity to Dell as a company.  In China in particular, Dell is currently number 2 in the Chinese PC market and they are seeing a significant increase in the number of small and medium-business users, who are adopting mobility products as part of their growth plans. In Q1, Dell revenue from China grew 22 percent.

The release of Dell Streak 10 inch tablet of course will compete with other 10 inch tablets that are already exist in the market such as iPad and Samsung Galaxy. The competition will also come from Chinese producer such as Huawei, Lenovo, and other local Chinese manufacturers.
