Zynga Ready to "Go Public" in June 2011

The internet game developer, Zynga, is being prepared for initial public offering in June 2011 to get money from investors who are fond of social media stocks.



Zynga has met with representatives of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Zynga was already almost chose an investment bank to assist the preparation of initial public stock offerings (IPO). Zynga and other Internet companies seem ready to sell shares to the public after a successful IPO social network LinkedIn floor.

"I think, every private company IPO LinkedIn notice and think about what if I do it tomorrow?" said Bing Gordon, a partner at Kleiner Perkins Canfield capital firms & Byers. Gordon who sits on the board of directors Zynga declined to comment in more detail about the IPO plan.

Zynga gaming companies ranked second most expensive in the United States after Activision Blizzard Inc. Zynga has 247.8 million active users per month on up. Zynga has three out of four of the top applications on Facebook, which is CityVille, Farmville, and Texas Holdem Poker.

Currently, the company's music service Pandora Media Inc. has entered a document to sell shares to the public. Similarly, an online vacation rental site HomeAway Inc.. Internet companies from China, Cloudary Corp., also announced plans for an IPO in the United States.

Yandex NV, search engine companies from Russia, the New York Stock Exchange floor on Tuesday. On the first day of trading, the company's stock price also known as Russia whose Google is up 55 percent. In the IPO, Yandex announced funding of 1.3 billion U.S. dollars.

Zynga acquired Wonderland Software

Zynga announced that they has acquired UK-based mobile game developer Wonderland Software, creator of GodFinger for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Wonderland Software will become Zynga Mobile UK, marking Zynga’s first operating studio in the UK.



Wonderland is composed of an amazingly talented, creative team, known for developing deeply engaging and innovative games. This is a team that has developed novel game technology to tell engrossing stories and excited to have Wonderland join Zynga as a presence in the UK.

Wonderland Software CEO Matthew Wiggins immediately assumes the role of General Manager, Zynga Mobile UK, reporting to David Ko. Zynga Mobile UK will leverage its leadership team and proprietary technology to focus on creating new mobile social titles that build on and expand Zynga’s mobile portfolio of games. “Wonderland Software has always been dedicated to pursuing big and creative ideas and turning them into games that players love,” said Wiggins. “We are thrilled to continue our vision as part of the Zynga family and to reach millions of mobile players across a spectrum of devices.”

Founded in 2009, Wonderland Software includes veterans of some of the UK’s biggest and best game companies – Lionhead, Codemasters and Bullfrog, amongst others. Wonderland Software’s founders include Matthew Wiggins, Mark Rose and Al Harding.
